Luis & Emilia Wedding Album

I can't tell you how excited I am to share this album. Recently I have been making efforts to create more album designs for my clients. What's exciting about this collection, is not only is the couple so incredibly awesome, but the location we got to photograph in was at the Henry Ford Estate in Dearborn, MI. But first I'd like to start of with with a little story about this wedding.

Out of the hundreds of weddings I have photographed, their wedding gifts to each other were by far one of the most original and thoughtful wedding gifts I have ever seen.

Emilia spent a long time writing out 70 unique cards. All starting with "Open when...". You can see some of the cards in the images. At first Luis, though hmmm, strange, then said, I don't think they are for me. Then he read more, the more he read, the more he cried. He has a card for nearly every emotion or moment he will encounter his life.

Now, Luis' gift to Emilia was equally impressive. He kept memories of nearly every note, and every movie ticket of the movie they went to. He created a special memory album and it brought everyone to tears.

I can't tell you how blessed I am to able to experience these moments with couples, it truly is an incredible experience. My only goal, is to create beautiful work to matches their love for each other.

Scott & Christina Engagement

Scott & Christina Engagement

Scott and Christina - it's rare when the groom coordinates the wedding photography and typically when that happens, it just becomes an instant click for me. I remember the last groom who coordinated his wedding pics and we became close friends over the years. Scott was one of those grooms who asked a million questions when I was interviewed. The more questions the better, it allows us to connect better and that we did. I've always believed, the better the connection, the better the images I make.

The thing I noticed with these two was this genuine playful affection they have for each other. Christina just glows with a huge smile and warmth and Scott just has this amazing charisma you instantly gravitate towards. When you view these images you can truly see this. We shot these at Blandford Nature Center, which I have always felt delivers this beautiful warm light over the tree tops. The best part about these two, is their desire to collaborate with me. Heck Christina was excited to walk in the water, get eaten up by bugs and endure the session. Client collaboration truly helps build amazing images and I'm so grateful I am a part of their lives to make this legacy.

Jordan & Linas Engagement - Chicago, IL

I feel so fortunate that Jordan and Linas found me. I just love their story. I drove down to Chicago to photograph their engagement session. Despite the traffic and the half hour to find a parking spot, we started off with having drinks. What better way to settle in and get know each other.

This is a love story with years in the making, and with persistence, it paid of. Jordan and Linas actually met like 10 years ago in Detroit, at a work function. Their encounters were like something out of Groundhog Day. Rinse and repeat. Jordan kept introducing herself, "Hi, I'm Jordan." Now their stories differ slightly. He says, he remembered her every year at the work functions, and she kept introducing herself as "Hi, I'm Jordan."

One year, they even had extensive conversation, to which she doesn't remember. Then finally about 3 years ago, it clicked. It only took a St. Patrick's Day party at a friends house. Over time, she fell in love with him, and it was the little things like making her waffles that she truly felt a deep love for him. Linas says it was her compassion and the way she was with children that he truly knew she was the one. It's all about the little things I learned with these two. Simple tee shirt gifts and he was melted, making her waffles and his classic impersonations and humor.

This collection of images really was easy for me when I get to know my couples. They just naturally show their love and affection, all I had to do was capture and craft it with beauty. I'm really looking forward to their big wedding day this year!

Amanda & Dan - Double JJ Ranch Wedding

It was a cold windy March day at the Double JJ Ranch. The wind would cut right through you if you were standing in the wrong spot. But that didn't stop this beautiful day. It took about 7 years for this couple to finally tie the knot. 7 years is longer than some marriage, it seemed like they were already married. In fact one of the funniest moments, was when the groom turned around, he stuck his tongue out at Amanda! Now that's comfort right there! Feeling amongst friends we had an awesome time. The Double JJ Ranch is a great place for a wedding. Such a cool western setting and rustic feel.
